This December, our K–5 students will participate in a special project-based learning day focused on Arctic wildlife!
Each grade level has selected an Arctic animal to research and become our school’s “in-house experts.” Students explored how these animals survive in cold climates year-round — including their habitats, adaptations, diet, and physical features.
Grade Level Animals:
🐺 Kindergarten – Arctic Fox
🐧 1st Grade – Puffin
🐻❄️ 2nd Grade – Polar Bear
🦌 3rd Grade – Caribou
🦉 4th Grade – Snowy Owl
🦅 5th Grade – Bald Eagle
Students also participated in short interactive presentations and hands-on afternoon activities designed to deepen their understanding of Arctic environments, animal adaptations, and life in cold climates.
The student had a fun and engaging day of learning as we celebrated Winter All Year!
